Events

Together with the Tallahassee Doula Co-Op, I participate in a variety of events throughout the year. For more specifics, including a schedule of upcoming events, please visit tallahasseedoulacoop.com or email us at tallahasseedoulacoop@gmail.com. Not pregnant? Help us spread the word by telling your pregnant friends about the Tallahassee Doula Co-Op! Even if they don't know what a doula is, they'll thank you later!

Doula Speed Dating
One of the most important things to look for when interviewing and choosing a doula is to find someone that you feel at ease and comfortable with. When talking with a doula for the first time go with your gut feeling - either she's the one, or you need to keep looking. This process, however, can be very time consuming. That's why the Tallahassee Doula Co-Op cordially invites you to our next Doula Speed Dating! Want to find the doula that is just for you? Would you like to avoid multiple time consuming interviews? Come to our next Doula Speed Dating to meet and get to know the doulas of the Tallahassee Doula Co-Op in one evening.

Organic Birth Workshop
Join Lindsey Morrow, a Birthing From Within Mentor and Doula, and the Tallahassee Doula Co-Op for a seminar on Organic Birth. Participants will draw and experience a labyrinth, learn how your baby's position impacts your labor experience, practice different labor positions, discover what a doula is and how she might be helpful at your birth, and how to ask questions and get good information from your care provider before and when in labor.

Mom's Time Out Tallahassee Events
The Tallahassee Doula Co-Op is a part of Mom's Time Out Tallahassee, a group which promotes moms, motherhood, and the community by showcasing local and mom-run businesses. We regularly participate in Mom's Time Out events. For information on upcoming events, please visit the Mom's Time Out Calendar of Events.

The Great Diaper Change Event in Tallahassee
Hosted by Ecological Babies

Join us on April 21st, 2012 as we attempt to break the world record for the most cloth diapers changed at one time! This world record attempt is a great way to show the world how many people are already choosing and using reusable cloth diapers successfully. But there are still a lot of people who don’t know about cloth diapers. If you want to help spread the word about cloth diapers, please join the Real Diaper Association, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that advocates for the use of reusable cloth diapers.

We will be sharing details as we figure it all out, but we are hoping to make an afternoon of this and possibly share a lunch together afterwards so we can make friends and enjoy being in the company of like-minded parents. Come join us and bring ALL of your cloth diapering friends and let's BREAK SOME RECORDS and show the world that CLOTH ROCKS!!!

The spatial explanations and visual aids make the Spinning Babies Workshop so valuable. Even the experienced provider will bring home new techniques and understanding.
